Although the place is small, as it is located in the very centre, you can stroll through the streets of Madrid while you leisurely enjoy your ice cream. And the best of all is that it is only a 5-minute walk from Gran View Apartments and is open every day until midnight. 

Heladería Los Alpes Madrid

If you are looking for ice cream with surprising flavours, this is the ice-cream parlour for you. Here, you will find everything from Philadelphia cheese ice cream to tiramisu ice cream or mascarpone ice cream with dried figs. They also have gluten-free and lactose-free ice cream, as well as low-sugar options for people with diabetes. It is located in Moncloa, 9 minutes by bus from our apartments, although you can also get there by Metro or walking.

Myka Greek

If you're a yoghurt ice cream enthusiast, we recommend visiting Myka Greek. You will find a variety of toppings, such as red fruit crumble, chocolate chips, pistachio syrup, and many more. There is Greek yoghurt ice cream and seasonal flavours that change every month. And you can choose between tubs or cones. Furthermore, each size comes with a fixed number of toppings; however, you can add more if you want. It is certainly well worth a visit. You can get there by Metro (Line 5) from Gran View Apartments.

Heladería Puerta Real

Next up is another artisan ice-cream parlour in Madrid that is just a 12-minute walk from our apartments. The Puerta Real ice-cream parlour offers a wide range of flavours made from natural ingredients, without preservatives or colourings. The most widely recommended by customers are pistachio, dulce de leche (toffee caramel), and cheesecake. A key feature is that all their ice creams are made in their ice cream workshops in Galicia using Galician milk, ensuring they are even more natural and delicious.

La Pecera

And to finish off this list, we recommend La Pecera, which has parlours in several parts of Madrid. However, if you're staying with us, we recommend the one on Calle Velarde, just a 13-minute walk away. The special feature of La Pecera is that their ice creams are taiyaki (spongy yet crunchy homemade sponge cakes in the shape of fish), which, combined with the ice cream and toppings, are simply irresistible. An ideal option if you are looking for something different from traditional ice cream.
