Located in the heart of Madrid, just 8 minutes from Gran View Apartments, this classic pastry shop offers the best traditional torrijas in both milk and wine versions, along with many other sweets. If you’re looking for a historic spot in the city center to enjoy delicious torrijas, this is the perfect choice.

La Barra Dulce

At this bakery, besides the classic torrijas, you can enjoy a wide variety of flavors such as Lotus cream, chai tea, or chocolate and cookie, perfect to pair with a coffee. The shop is just an 18-minute walk from our building and is open every day of the week.

El Panazo

This artisan bakery and pastry shop, located in the Salamanca neighborhood, 20 minutes by public transport from our apartments, offers some of the most original homemade torrijas. From toasted yolk to a delicious fruit torrija with strawberries, kiwi, blueberries, and raspberries—without forgetting the classic versions.

Pastelería La Mallorquina

We couldn’t finish without mentioning La Mallorquina, an iconic pastry shop founded in 1894, located in Plaza del Sol, just 8 minutes on foot from our apartments. Besides enjoying the views from its upstairs lounge, you can taste juicy classic torrijas or a cream-filled version. Be sure to go early, as this emblematic spot tends to get very busy. It’s open every day of the week and is a must-visit if you're in Madrid.
