The open-air markets you mustn't miss in Madrid

Ranas Market

On the first Saturday of every month, the Las Letras Neighbourhood Traders' Association organises this street market on Huertas Street. The various establishments in the neighbourhood present their gastronomic, cultural and tourist offerings to passers-by from 12 noon to 8 pm. If you would like to visit it, it is only a 15-minute walk from Gran View Apartments.

Planetario Municipal Producers' Market

Support local businesses and find organic and/or artisanal products in this charming market consisting of 36 small producers from Madrid. It is held on the first and third Sunday of every month in the Arganzuela District, about a 20-minute drive from our apartments. In addition to enjoying workshops for the whole family, you will be able to buy oils, meats, vegetables, fruit and natural fruit juices, among many other products. 

Malamarket

A 10-minute walk from Gran View Apartments will bring you to Dos de Mayo Square, where you will find Malamarket on Saturdays in spring and autumn: Design, crafts, artwork, vintage products and many more suggestions from responsible and environmentally friendly brands. There are also concerts, activities for children and various workshops. 

Santa Ana Street Market

This street market is one of the most popular in Madrid. Located on the street of the same name, 20 minutes from our apartments, it is open every day from 11 a.m .to 9 p.m. There are dozens of stalls selling crafts, food, antiques, music, literature, beauty products and much more in a multi-cultural environment with a variety of activities and DJs. An absolute must see!

El Rastro

It would be a crime not to include the Rastro street market in this list. It is not only the most renowned street market in the city, but also in the country. It is held every Sunday and public holiday and is located in the neighbourhood of Embajadores. If you want to know more, we have a post dedicated to it in our blog.
